Check the PNG before using it elsewhere
- A transparent background should not show a white rectangle when placed over a colored area.
- Store the PNG carefully: anyone with the file can copy the visible signature image.
- A transparent signature image is not the same thing as a certificate-based digital signature.
Questions
Why does PNG matter?
PNG can preserve transparency, so only the ink appears when the image is placed over a document. JPEG cannot preserve a transparent background.
Can I choose black or blue ink?
Yes. The signature cleanup controls let you save the result in black or blue.
