Step by step
- 01
Write naturally
Use the pen and signature style you normally use. Dark black or blue ink on plain white paper gives the cleanup tool the clearest edge.

PDF SIGN & SCAN / 01 - 02
Scan, then inspect
In Signatures, add a new signature and use Scan. Compare Before and After, then adjust Paper Cleanup or Ink Strength if a stroke looks faint.

PDF SIGN & SCAN / 02 - 03
Name and save it
Give the signature a clear name. It stays in your signature library for the next document.

PDF SIGN & SCAN / 03 - 04
Place it on the PDF
Open the PDF, tap Sign, choose the saved signature, then drag and pinch until it sits naturally on the line.

PDF SIGN & SCAN / 04
A cleaner capture
- Avoid lined paper, heavy shadows, and a pen color close to the paper color.
- Do not crop through the first or last stroke.
- Resize down rather than stretching a low-resolution signature up.
Questions
Do I have to draw on the iPhone screen?
No. The Scan mode is designed to capture the signature you write on paper. Drawing on screen is an optional second method.
Can I save more than one signature?
Yes. The app supports multiple named signatures in its signature library.
