Step by step
- 01
Import or scan the document
Choose the existing PDF from Files, or use Scan Document to capture the paper pages. Check page edges and order before signing.
- 02
Choose a saved signature
Tap Sign and select the correct handwritten signature from your on-device library.
- 03
Place it over the scan
Drag the signature to the intended line and pinch to resize it. A scanned page does not need an editable form field for this placement.
- 04
Export and inspect
Create the flattened signed PDF, open the exported copy, and make sure the signature is readable at normal page size.

PDF SIGN & SCAN
Your real signature, ready when the PDF arrives.
Scan it once. Place it carefully. Send the signed copy from your iPhone.
App StoreWhat this does—and does not do
- The signature is placed visibly on the scanned page.
- The app does not run OCR or turn the document text into editable fields.
- If the recipient requires a certified digital signature, use their specified workflow.
Questions
Can I sign a PDF that is just scanned images?
Yes. The saved signature is placed on top of the page image.
Do I need OCR first?
No, not for visible signature placement. OCR is only relevant when you need selectable or editable text.
